As China’s first premium new energy vehicle brand to reach the million-yuan price tier, Yangwang naturally sought to tell its brand story through the lens of Chinese culture. Consequently, the design team embarked on an extensive journey of research and exploration. They visited cultural institutions such as the Yinxu (Ruins of Yin) site, the Erlitou Site Museum, and the Chinese Character Museum, and consulted with numerous renowned experts and scholars in the field of Oracle Bone Script studies. Ultimately, from a vast repertoire of thousands of characters, they selected the character for “electricity.”
The emblem’s sinuous form mirrors the original Oracle Bone depiction of “electricity”—a visual representation that seems to shimmer with the very brilliance of a lightning flash. The overall design features crisp, minimalist lines, symbolizing the products’ ultimate performance capabilities; meanwhile, its extensions reach outward in all directions, signifying the brand’s fearless spirit of exploration into the unknown. Born of the past, created for the future.

The Yangwang Business Research Institute was officially established in Shenzhen on November 22, 2024.
